Step 01
Install from the Shopify App Store.
Find WB Connect in the Shopify App Store. Hit Install. Shopify will show you a standard permissions dialog — the same one any approved Shopify app uses — covering the data WB Connect needs to do its job.
We ask for what we need and nothing more: read your orders, products, inventory, locations and fulfillments, and write back inventory levels and fulfillment events. That’s the entire permission set — nine permissions. We do not ask to write to your products or to modify your orders, and we don’t ask for customer credit cards, payouts, or any of your billing data.
The install itself is published as a free Shopify app. No payment screen, no plan picker, no “starter vs. pro” gate. The first thing you see after install is your store linked to the warehouse — not an upsell.
Step 02
Shopify grants the permissions. No extra screen.
WB Connect uses Shopify’s managed installation, so Shopify itself grants the permissions the app declares. You hit Install app and you’re in — there is no separate authorisation screen to work through.
WB Connect is an embedded app: it opens inside Shopify Admin, in the sidebar alongside everything else you use, and you never leave Shopify to work with it. Each request is authorised with an App Bridge session token, so the app sets no cookies in your admin.
It asks for nine permissions and no more — read access to your orders, products, inventory, locations and fulfilments, and write access to inventory and fulfilments so stock levels and tracking numbers can flow back. It does not ask for access to your customer records.
Step 03
We link you to your 3PL warehouse partner.
This is the part that’s different from every other Shopify-to-warehouse app. We don’t ask you to configure API keys, paste in account numbers, or read a four-page setup PDF. Instead, the moment you finish OAuth, our system looks for your 3PL partner in our database.
If your 3PL fulfillment provider already runs Warehouse Bridge on the warehouse side, we auto-link your Shopify store to their account. They get a notification that a new merchant has connected, and you can start sending them orders the same day.
If your 3PL is still being onboarded onto Warehouse Bridge, your store will sit in a pending state. We show you a clear banner that says “Awaiting warehouse partner” — honest, not a paywall — and the moment your warehouse goes live, your store activates automatically. No re-install needed.
Step 04
Orders flow automatically. You stop chasing email threads.
From this point on, WB Connect is invisible — which is the goal. Below is exactly what flows between your Shopify store and your 3PL warehouse, in both directions, without any further action from you.

A note on what you pay
You pay nothing. Your warehouse already pays their bill.
WB Connect is a free Shopify app. There is no tier, no trial that ends, no upgrade prompt. Your Shopify invoice will never include a charge from us, today or in future.
How the model works: WB Connect is published by Warehouse Bridge. Your 3PL warehouse partner separately pays Warehouse Bridge for the warehouse management system they already use to run their operation. That’s an existing B2B contract between them and us — you’re not part of it.
Your warehouse partner may, of course, charge you fulfillment fees under your existing contract with them — those would appear on their invoice, not your Shopify invoice. That’s between you and them, exactly as it always was.
